A (Shameless) Dialogue Part 1: Internalized Sham(e)
A (Shameless) Dialogue Part 1: Internalized Sham(e)
“A (Shameless) Dialogue” aims to reconcile the personal tensions an LGBTQ+ individual would feel in relation to religion, specifically Christianity. This series aims not to proselytize but help an LGBTQ+ individual find a greater sense of self-love; A necessary endeavor after being immersed in loveless religious environments. Each photo in this series is inspired by an LGBTQ+-affirming passage in the bible. The written dialogue is between “I” and a therapist, inspired by my own experiences.
As for “Internalized Sham(e)”, this photo is inspired by Psalm 139: 113-114, referring to how someone is wonderfully made.
