A series inspired by observations of my older brother with his family.
After observing him, I finally have some understanding of the innate transformation Fatherhood brings: A transcendent, unrelenting drive; An understanding of the dangerous and joyful possibilities; The realization that he must go above and beyond to meet his fearless wife half way in a solid partnership... He has left his comfort zone, and ventured into the wilderness... He will thrive. I'm sure of it.
He knew his frustration was, at times, infectious. So, he'd seclude himself in the courtyard pool to swim through his waves of simmering anger...Perhaps, his frustration lies on a paradox; A fine line between present happiness, and an endless desire for his family to have the world. Whether or not external forces are a factor, he will always have to manage this emotion. But, this positive frustration makes him an admirable father.
It's all for her; stress, tears, joy, drive, character. The list goes on... He discovers new potential when his daughter and wife are at the center of his ambition; He knows that when they flourish, so does he. Therefore, failure is not an option. Perhaps that burden feels like the weight of the sun on his shoulders. But, that sun illuminates the eternal road of fatherhood.
